Privacy Policy — Learning Adventure with Rory

Last updated: July 2026. Effective immediately upon publication.
No data collected COPPA compliant GDPR-K compliant
The short version: We collect absolutely no personal information from anyone who plays this game — not from children, not from parents or guardians. No accounts are required. No data is transmitted to us or any third party.

1. Who this policy applies to

This game is designed for children aged 3 to 8. We are fully aware that our players are young children, and we have designed every aspect of the game to be completely safe from a privacy perspective. This policy applies to all users of the game regardless of age or location.

2. Information we collect

We collect no personal information whatsoever. This includes: no names, no email addresses, no device identifiers, no IP addresses, no location data, no usage analytics, no behavioural data and no cookies of any kind.

Game progress may be saved locally using Steam Cloud if enabled by the user. This data is managed entirely by Valve Corporation under their own privacy policy and is not accessible to us.

3. COPPA compliance (United States)

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) protects the privacy of children under 13 in the United States. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we are fully compliant with COPPA. There is nothing to disclose, no parental consent required, and no data to delete upon request.

4. GDPR and GDPR-K compliance (European Union)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its child-specific provisions (GDPR-K) apply to users in the European Union. Because we do not collect, store, process or transmit any personal data, there is no personal data to protect, disclose, rectify or erase. Our game is fully compliant by design. We do not engage in profiling, automated decision-making or any form of targeted advertising.

5. Third-party services

Learning Adventure with Rory is distributed through Steam (Valve Corporation). When you purchase or download the game through Steam, Valve may collect information about that transaction in accordance with their own Privacy Policy at store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement. We have no access to any data Valve collects. We have no other third-party integrations, partnerships or data-sharing arrangements of any kind.

6. Changes to this policy

If we ever change our data practices, we will update this policy and clearly communicate those changes before they take effect. We will never introduce data collection affecting children without making it clearly visible and obtaining appropriate parental consent where required by law.
